MANILA - Former couple Angel Locsin and Luis Manzano appear to have rekindled their romance during a trip overseas, more than a week after the two publicly expressed hopes of getting back together.
Locsin and Manzano, along with other Kapamilya stars, were in the United Arab Emirates on Thursday and Friday for a live staging of ABS-CBN's "ASAP" at Dubai Festival City.
"ASAP Live in Dubai," which will air Sunday on ABS-CBN, was held Friday by The Filipino Channel as a two-part show, with batches of performances at 4 p.m. and later in the same day, at 9 p.m.
On the sidelines of the show, Locsin and Manzano appear to have caught up, with the actor-host posting a photo of them together on a stage on his Instagram page Friday.
Manzano followed up the post with another photo of him kissing Locsin on her cheek inside what appears to be a shopping area, captioned: "Kulet and Kiti headed back to Manila."
The post quickly went viral, garnering over 8,900 likes and over 500 comments in under two hours.
Locsin, on her Instagram page, similarly posted a photo of Manzano on Saturday, this time inside an airplane.
"Maraming salamat po sa mga nanuod ng 'ASAP Live' dito sa Dubai," the actress said in the caption. "Pabalik na ngayon ng Pinas kasama netong seatmate ko [heart icon]. Simulan na ang masarap na usapan."
During a press conference on Thursday for the "ASAP" staging in Dubai, Manzano readilyadmitted his feelings for Locsin when asked, saying, "I love her."
This came a little over a week after Locsin confessed in a media interview that she still has feelings for Manzano, and that she hopes there is a chance for reconciliation.
The former couple separated in 2009 and has since been romantically involved with other personalities.
Locsin recently broke up with her boyfriend of over a year, football player Phil Younghusband. She confirmed the breakup in late October, the same month Manzano confirmed his split from actress Jennylyn Mercado, his girlfriend of two years.
