Puerto Galera is one of the most popular summer destinations in the Philippines. The name “Puerto Galera” means “port for galleons” if translated literally. This is an ideal place for swimming, sailing, surfing, snorkeling, kayaking, jet skiing, boating, windsurfing and scuba diving. The underwater scene is even more beautiful found just within a kilometer from the coast. Here, you can see schools of Moorish idols, trumpet fish, frog fish, lion fish, and leaf fish that weave in and out from those thriving corals and sea anemone.
